R-ESET puts you back in control. What you see on the platform is decided by you: who you choose to follow and the content you actively discover, not by algorithms or our interference.

What can be seen, said, and discussed on R-ESET is moderated through a peer-governed model, providing a more democratic, open, and consistent approach without platform bias.

R‑ESET is the genuine alternative. A more transparent social network built around you, not your data. A place for real connections, creativity, and community, instead of a platform defined by targeted advertising and dependent on engagement-driven incentives.

R‑ESET is designed for simplicity and built without the features engineered to be addictive, drive excessive use, and encourage toxic engagement. We aim to reduce many of the harmful effects associated with social media: manipulation, misinformation, dangerous viral trends, outrage-driven behaviour, unhealthy social comparison, unrealistic appearance standards, and the growing dependence on external validation.

R‑ESET grew from the simple idea of putting the user first, and is built around our core principles of prioritising your privacy, participation, and protection, with the ambition of sharing profits with you to create a fairer and more ethical environment.

R‑ESET reverses the roles in social media by designing the platform as the product, not you. Commercial users pay for access to a genuine, engaged audience through subscriptions that scale with follower count, removing any reliance on advertising or any need to track your activity or harvest your data.

Commercial participation on R‑ESET is intentional, transparent, and clearly separated from personal use. Promotional content is only permitted on Business accounts, helping reduce influencer culture and commercial interests hidden within seemingly personal content. Personal accounts cannot be converted into Business accounts, making commercial participation a deliberate decision.

R‑ESET puts you back in control. What you see is shaped by who you choose to connect with and the content you actively discover, not by invasive algorithms designed to maximise attention and time spent on the platform. No content, including from commercial users, is ever targeted, prioritised, or artificially amplified.

Content is moderated through a peer-governed model, supported by clear legal requirements and standards set out in our binding Code of Conduct. Users play an active role in reporting potential breaches, providing a more democratic and consistent approach to what is allowed on R‑ESET, while reducing subjective platform bias and control.

Our pay-to-join model helps ensure your community is made up of real people, encouraging accountability and more authentic connections. This means fewer bots, fewer fake accounts, and more accurate follower counts.

Our commitment to independence allows us to focus on what serves your best interests, not simply what drives engagement and growth. As R‑ESET grows, we will continue to prioritise you while pursuing our aim of sharing in the success we create together.

This helps reduce the pressure, particularly for influencers, celebrities, and public figures, to balance personal expression with commercial objectives or expectations around sharing overly private aspects of their lives.

On R‑ESET, they are part of a network defined by real users and honest follower counts, not bots, fake accounts, or platform-driven priorities. For those who value genuine connections, this means more meaningful engagement within a network that treats you fairly.

R‑ESET does not sell advertising, and your personal data is never used to target or influence the content you see.

We make money by charging commercial users a monthly subscription for a Business account. This removes any reliance on advertising or the need to track, profile, or exploit your data.

Pricing scales with follower count, meaning popular accounts make a greater investment to engage with you responsibly.

Only Business accounts can post promotional content on R‑ESET. You may see this content if you choose to follow them, if it is reposted, or if you discover it organically, but never through targeting or platform-driven manipulation.

A Business account is required for all influencers, businesses, official organisations, celebrities, public figures, governments, or anyone using R‑ESET for commercial, official, or promotional purposes.

Alongside R‑ESET, we introduced R‑ESTART, a completely separate social network designed for under-18s only.

Unlike current social media platforms, which leave young people inside the same commercially-driven environment as adults and then attempt to make one platform “safe enough”, R‑ESTART is a dedicated under-18 environment built around the unique protection and well-being needs of a younger audience. We believe the safest interaction is no interaction.

All accounts on R‑ESTART must be created and actively overseen by a responsible adult, with ongoing accountability built directly into the platform. Accounts are private and content is automatically moderated before publication.

As with R‑ESET, features associated with addictive use, manipulation, misinformation, and unhealthy social comparison are deliberately excluded, alongside risks particularly harmful to young people: cyberbullying, intentionally provocative messaging, dangerous viral trends, unrealistic beauty and lifestyle standards, and the growing dependence on external validation.

R‑ESTART offers separate Business accounts, but commercial participation is heavily restricted. Influencers and content creators are not permitted on R‑ESTART, helping reduce influencer culture, as well as excessive or unregulated influence on young people.

Our peer-governed model of content moderation operates within clear legal and Code of Conduct standards. You play an active role in reporting content that may breach these standards, helping ensure they are applied consistently.

As we grow, your participation will help shape how R‑ESET evolves.

R‑ESET requires only the minimum information needed to create and operate your account: a screen name, username, password, and an email address used solely for account management.

We do not build profiles based on your data, metadata, or activity. We do not use your posts, searches, or behaviour to monitor what you see or how you interact with content.

We do not access your contacts, calendar, location, or microphone, and we do not track your activity across other apps or the internet.

R‑ESET does not allow any of your information or content to be used for data harvesting or AI training.

Joining fee payments are processed by a reputable, independent third party. Any personal information they require is used solely to complete the transaction and is handled within their secure infrastructure.

R‑ESET is intentionally designed with simplicity in mind, allowing content to take centre stage and keeping your experience focused and distraction-free.

We are continuing to refine the R‑ESET app, introducing new features while focusing on getting the fundamentals right first.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Capture a photo, upload an image, or create a text-only post.
  • Follow friends and users who interest you.
  • Use Discover to explore content organised by interest group.
  • Watch short video content from your favourite Business accounts.

Your input will help shape what we prioritise next.

R‑ESET uses a pay-to-join model to help ensure users are real people, reduce bots and fake accounts, deter underage access, and encourage greater accountability. This helps create a safer and more authentic experience for everyone.

It allows us to remain truly independent, free from external commercial pressures, so we can take a longer-term approach that prioritises your well-being over short-term profit.

Your joining fee supports the daily operation of R‑ESET and is separate from any potential profit sharing.

We aim to share 50% of annual net profits generated through R‑ESET Business account subscriptions with eligible users, with the intention of increasing this percentage over time as we grow.

At the end of each full year of operation, we plan to publish details on overall performance, including the total net profit available, the number of eligible users, and the amount each would receive. Net profit calculations will only include subscription revenue generated through R‑ESET Business accounts, excluding joining fees and any revenue associated with R‑ESTART.

We are committed to transparency and long-term, responsible growth. While profit sharing is one of our founding ambitions, we cannot guarantee that there will always be profits or that we will always be in a position to distribute them. Our ambition to share profits therefore does not create any legal right or entitlement.
