CODE OF CONDUCT

Effective: September 2026

R‑ESET is built around privacy, protection, participation and responsible use by all. This Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behaviour and Content required from you. It applies to all users, including Business account holders, and to all Content: usernames, profile information, text, images, videos, links and any other uploaded material.

R‑ESET is intended to support genuine interaction, creativity and community. It must therefore not be used to harm, exploit, deceive or intimidate others.

RESPECTFUL CONDUCT

You must not:

  • • Create an account for, or give access to, anyone under 18
  • • Harass, abuse, bully, intimidate, threaten or stalk anyone, including R‑ESET employees
  • • Encourage others to target or abuse anyone
  • • Post hate speech or discriminatory attacks based on characteristics such as race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability
  • • Misuse reporting tools, including by making deliberately false or malicious reports

AUTHENTICITY AND TRANSPARENCY

You must not:

  • • Impersonate another person, brand or organisation in a misleading or harmful way
  • • Falsely claim to be verified, endorsed or approved by R‑ESET or another party
  • • Falsely claim an affiliation, qualification or credential
  • • Use the platform for scams, fraud, deceptive schemes or the sale or promotion of fraudulent goods or services
  • • Spread false or deceptive claims that are likely to cause harm to individuals, public safety or public health
  • • Post Content that you do not own and do not have permission to use, or that infringes another person’s copyright or trademark

R‑ESET DOES NOT VERIFY THE IDENTITY, LEGITIMACY, CREDENTIALS OR AFFILIATION OF ACCOUNT HOLDERS, INCLUDING BUSINESS ACCOUNT HOLDERS.

APPROPRIATE CONTENT

You must not post, share, promote or facilitate:

  • • Pornography, explicit sexual Content or sexual services, whether on R‑ESET or elsewhere
  • • Explicit nudity: non-sexual depictions of nudity may be appropriate, provided they do not breach this Code or applicable law
  • • Any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation, including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, sexualisation of children or sharing sexual images of anyone under 18
  • • Violence, terrorism, violent extremism, dangerous behaviour, harm to another person or depictions of animal abuse
  • • Self-harm, suicide, eating disorders or other forms of self-abuse
  • • Human trafficking or any other form of exploitation
  • • Illegal or prohibited activities, including the sale or promotion of contraband or regulated goods such as illegal drugs, weapons, tobacco, alcohol or gambling services

WE MAINTAIN ZERO TOLERANCE FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION. VIOLATIONS WILL BE REPORTED TO THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES, AND WE WILL COOPERATE FULLY WITH LAWFUL INVESTIGATIONS.

RESPECTING PRIVACY

You must not:

  • • Access another person’s account or allow an unauthorised person to access your account
  • • Post any Content in which another person’s face is clearly visible and identifiable without their permission, including when they appear in the background
  • • Share another person’s private, personal or identifying information without permission, including through doxing
  • • Use private information to threaten, intimidate or harm someone

COMMERCIAL USE

  • • Only Business accounts can post any form of commercial or promotional Content
  • • This includes all advertising, marketing, sponsored or ‘in-partnership’ posts, paid endorsements, selling goods, promoting services, soliciting donations or other promotional or official activity
  • • Business accounts must publish this Content through the R‑ESET Business website and select the Promotional checkbox when publishing it. Where required by law, they must also include a clear and prominent disclosure within the Content itself
  • • The use of deceptive commercial practices, including get-rich-quick schemes, undisclosed sponsorships, multi-level marketing schemes or fraudulent offers is not allowed

THIS APPLIES TO ALL BUSINESSES, BRANDS, INFLUENCERS, CONTENT CREATORS, CELEBRITIES, PUBLIC FIGURES, ORGANISATIONS, GOVERNMENT BODIES AND ANY OTHER USER ENGAGING IN COMMERCIAL, PROMOTIONAL OR OFFICIAL ACTIVITIES.

PROTECTING THE PLATFORM

You must not:

  • • Bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, security controls or account restrictions
  • • Use R‑ESET or its Content to train, develop or improve any AI or machine-learning systems
  • • Use bots, automated scripts or other non-human means to access or interact with the Service
  • • Scrape, crawl, data-mine, systematically download or build a database from R‑ESET or its Content
  • • Send malware, viruses, harmful code or malicious links
  • • Disrupt, overload or interfere with the operation or security of the Service

MODERATION AND REPORTING

R‑ESET does not routinely pre-screen or automatically moderate Content. Instead, we operate a peer-governed community enforcement model in which reports from users help guide moderation decisions. However, we may review and act independently where Content may be unlawful or present a material risk of harm.

Potential breaches of this Code may be reported using the reporting tools in the mobile app or by email:

ENFORCING THE CODE

Any breach of this Code may result in:

  • • Content being removed or restricted
  • • An account being suspended or permanently terminated
  • • Reporting to law enforcement or another appropriate authority

IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS PERMANENTLY TERMINATED, NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY FEES OR PAYMENTS ALREADY MADE.

STATUS OF THE CODE

This Code forms a binding part of the Terms and Conditions that apply to your account and, in the event of any inconsistencies, the Terms and Conditions take precedence.

Our handling of personal data, including information submitted in reports or complaints, is governed by the applicable Privacy Policy.
